  1. Thanks for the video. I currently use Excel (not basic excel but a coded and calculated file) for my farm tool business and I want to change to an accounting app. what do you suggest ?

  2. Both Xero and QuickBooks offer useful features for small businesses, but the right choice depends on budget, workflow, and business needs. Accoru is another option worth comparing for businesses looking for straightforward invoicing, expense tracking, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting. Great comparison!

  3. i actually have one business and am starting another. i am currently using quickbooks but for what i use QBO i feel as though i am being priced out of the market as it has gotten so expensive. my businesses are a agricultural consulting firm and a pest control business

  4. Is this super out of date after some massive changes?
In terms of pricing Xero looks to be much more expensive than quickbooks. Quickbooks also seems to have a plan suited to just a soletrader. Some comments are talking about quickbooks becoming super expensive but from everything I see they are still cheaper.

  5. Great comparison! ๐Ÿ‘
Really appreciate how clearly youโ€™ve broken down Xero vs QuickBooks for small businesses.
Super useful and easy to follow. Keep up the great work!

  6. Been looking to switch from Kashflow, and of course these two come up most as recommendations. I'm a sole trader, annual turnover in the MTD bracket for next tax year 2027-2028, issuing only around 4-6 invoices to regular clients each month (I compile a monthly invoice for each client rather than issue separate invoices for each job). Xero and Quickbooks seem to get equal recommendations – what would you advise in my particular circumstances?

  7. Anyone have a recommendation between the 2? I'm currently using QuickBooks at $39 a month, with 2.9% CC processing fee. I'm a solo lawn care business that is quite simple. Need to track expenses, and mostly invoice and receive CC payments. I hate QB interface, and feel like it's far more than I really need. All I really need to do is track expenses, send invoices Via SMS or email, and receive payments at the lowest percentage possible.

  8. Good comparison. QuickBooks and Xero both work well for small businesses starting out. As companies scale though, tools focused on automation and managing multiple entities like Runeleven are becoming interesting alternatives too.

  9. I'm confused. You said Xero worked out cheaper. My QuickBooks is due for renewal on 14/4/2026, $589.09. I've looked in Xero, their fee is $900.00. Our accountant wants us cto hange over to Xero

  10. Great breakdown! Iโ€™ve been using Workiz for my invoicing and job management, and I canโ€™t imagine going back to the old ways. Itโ€™s such a relief to have everything streamlined โ€” those other accounting options seem way too complicated for us field techs! ๐Ÿ˜…

  11. Great breakdown, it's tough navigating all these options! I've been using Workiz for a while now, and it really simplifies my invoicing and estimatesโ€”I can't imagine going back to the old manual ways. ๐Ÿ™Œ

  12. I like the video as I am looking to get an accounting software so now I do not judge my incomes and expenditure. I work with multiple contractors who invoice me for their services and I want to ensure that this is done correctly. Question I wanted to ask is that in your opinion which software would be better for this and does the software calculate the amount they get paid ?

  13. Which would you suggest for a very small nonprofit organization with two – three employees. I'd like to be able to do my budget on it, and keep things organized. Being nonprofit, cost is very important

  14. Hi, great content. I am woundering what to do i run one company with a abn however it has multiple trading names and i need to send invoices from these different trading names what should I do im trying to find the right vid to explain what to do next, any advice would be amazing.
